He chose me. He chose Paul the Apostle too. Paul was not seeking Jesus. Paul was seeking Christians, to have them turned over to authorities,to be put in prison and to be killed. Jesus met him, when he was on his way to do that. We do not choose Jesus, but when He chooses us, we cannot say no to Him. Read the verses that Martin S put above my answer. Satan spreads many lies among men, for his goal is to diminish God, and the Son. Satan wants to turn God into a monster, and the Son into a failure. But Satan will not succeed.

He chose me. (with a purpose in mind, too!)
"You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit—fruit that will last. Then the Father will give you whatever you ask in my name." John 15:16 (NIV)
"And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified." Romans 8:30
"he predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will." Ephesians 1: 5 (NIV)
**and my favorite verse which supports this:
"In him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will." Ephesians 1:11

He chose me and everyone else.
John 15:16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
John 6:44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.
1 John 4:9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. 10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

He chose all of us, then we decide whether to choose him. If you are all alone in the world and he comes to you and comforts you it is very easy to choose him,

He does the choosing. Jesus said, "Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain."
An old hymnwriter expressed this truth beautifully: "My Lord, I did not choose you, for that could never be. My heart would still refuse you, had you not chosen me!"

Both, read romans 9 and it wil answer your question 100%! God chose who would accect him and who would have a hardened heart. So we are elected so to speak to become christians. This is VERY hard for me to understand, and I am still trying to understand it, but we as humans are finite and can not understand, this. But this does not make us robots, either. We have chosen to follow Christ, and accept him. agian please read, Romans and you will hopefully be able to understand a little better.

The Bible states that Christ "First loved us." I love Him because He first loved me. He, Jesus, died for our sins and purchaced our salvation. He knew me before I was ever born. He chose to die for me, so I love Him. So, I accepted Him as my Savior, it biols down to we chose each other, I guess.
