While I'm not a fan of almost any of the Catholic theology as it is practiced: the idolatry, priesthood, liturgy, transubstantiationalist sacraments, infant baptism, Mariolatry, ad nausem. There is, I believe, at least vestiges of truth they inherited from the early church, though admittedly mostly lost in ritual and superstition. To be able to separate the truth from the man made lies takes a discerning heart, a complete separation from that false cult and an honesty and denial of self that few can muster. In other words a miracle must transpire. The good news is that miracles do happen. I was delivered from that false religion, as have been many more. The problem is they usually end up in an apostate Protestant environment which is only slightly better than what they left. No beads, icons, saints, etc., but still no life either.

Send out the Inquisitors and burn all the books again.
Actually, it doesn't matter if it is all a lie or not, since the important part is in the marketing. Catholicism is about the rituals, traditions, and belief, it has nothing to do with facts, as with most religions.

Let me guess - You are one of those who refuses to believe in God because of the lack of physical evidence.

It is illogical of you to be so certain of something by basing it on a lack of evidence. Shouldn't you base your believes on actual evidence, as opposed to the lack thereof?

Unless you change your attitude, you will find the answer to your own question. You're the one living the lie!

Not everything Catholics believe is a lie.I do think some of their beliefs are just traditions of man rather than biblical.

I am a Christian, and I consider myself a strong one too. I respect atheist's beliefs, even if they do not make sense to me. I admit, I find some of the Roman Catholic church's ceremonies/ custums confusing, but I respect their beliefs. Nobody has the right to insult somebody or disrespect one's religion, including you.

The same thing everyone in all religions are going to do when they find out how wrong their thinking was. As long as you learn from your mistakes, so next time down here won't be as difficult.
