I wouldn't move her to a toddler bed just yet. Unless she's climbing out of the crib and falling, keep her in it as long as you can! I moved my son out of the crib to early and it's been a fight ever since to get him to sleep in his room. She'll be ready for a big girl bed soon enough. Enjoy being able to keep her in one place while you can :0)

Our older daughter went straight from the crib to a twin bed when she was about 15 months old.
She has a trundle bed, which she thinks is pretty cool. (We added a bed rail so she can't fall out.) She has a shelf at the head and foot of the bed, so she can have a lamp and a cup of water and some stories. And she has curtains that she can pull across the bed to make a private little space. So she thinks that's pretty darn cool, and we've never had any trouble getting her to sleep there.
Because she sleeps on the second floor and we sleep on the main floor and we worried about her wandering the stairs in the dark, we put a baby gate up in her doorway before she goes to sleep every night. She knows how to open it, so she's not really trapped up there, but we think it slows her down if she ever thinks about coming to find us.
She also has a baby monitor in her room, and she knows that if she has a problem, we'll come to investigate.
So the move worked out well for us.

I'd keep her in the crib. A toddler bed would only make it that much easier for her to not stay in bed. Of course she wants you with her--she doesn't want the fun to end. Just be kind but firm and insist that she sleeps in her own bed. I got a toddler bed for my oldest, but it was a waste of money--she never used it. When I needed the crib for the next baby, I got her a twin bed, put up rails, put it in the same spot the crib had been and got princess sheets.

By all means she is showing signs of being in a toddler bed. Just remember to buy the mesh sided rails so she doesn't roll out of it. But, she may insist on leaving her bed and coming to your's sometime. You will have to find a way to constructively deal with that. When you introduce the toddler bed to your daughter make it a celebration. Inform her that she is "moving up." Decorate the bed real cute with blankets and pillows. Make her a special meal that day, followed by a warm bath, book reading and put her to sleep in her new bed. Congratulate her as you kiss her good night.

i have five kids and the would climb out of bed into ours, so finally i took apart their crib put the matress on the floor, hey they play on the floor whats the difference if they sleep on a matress on the floor, this way if the did move around they would just slide onto the floor not fall, it also starts making them aware in their subconscience about 'the drop' i found it easier to transition up to a higher bed level with fewer accidents then slamming them into a toddlers bed off the floor with part of the side secure.

I had the same problem with my kids. I figured that a bed in no different from a crib - except that they can climb out of it in the wee hours of the morning. I bought a regular bed with a guard rail, so that i dont have to get one when they grow out of it. i took them to buy favorite sheets too. i told them that sleeping in a bed was a priveledge and if they come out to often, they will have to go back to the crib. I told them that i will always leave the door open and they can call me if they need me. they never came out of bed in the beginning, and jsut dont at all now. in the morning, they will come out of bed once it's light....

At that age she may be very well ready for a big girl bed. she seems like she has more of a bed interest than a crib . Girls mature faster than boys so her wanting to be in a bed may be what she needs. I think she is ready she is at that age

She is probably ready for a "big girl" bed. I would not buy a toddler bed My son wouldn't sleep in his toddler bed. So I moved the twin bed from the spare bedroom to his room and now he goes to bed without problems. I would get her a twin bed and pretty new bedding. Make a big deal out of her being a "big" girl.

I set up my daughter's toddler bed as soon as she started climbing out of her crib. The first few mornings when we woke up she was sleeping outside our bedroom door with her pillows and blanket. She never knocked or let us know she was there. I gave her a few of her favorite animals to sleep with and she had no problems after that.
