I have an acute sense of smell. Some people don't. Some people like one perfume, others hate it. You might have olfactory sensitivity. But, the bottom line is that your supervisor smells bad to you. Do NOT tell her that. She may forget the message, but she will NOT forget the messenger.
You could send an anonymous letter to her house and that would get her attention. You could also use the Vick's salve on the upper lip idea. But whatever you do, be tolerant and polite to her. She may have serious health issues that no one is aware of. Good luck !

I have a lot of ideas that might not work but you should read them all just in case! Good Luck

Put a big can of air freshener on your desk. After she has been near your desk spray the air freshener generously.

If you are not near your desk but you have to go near her ask her if she likes the perfume you have on. You will have to find a perfume you love fort this to work. If she likes it next holiday give the perfume to her.

If that doesn't work just happen to be spraying air freshener ( from above) near her. I you spray her oh well. If you don't spray her at least the air around her is nice smelling.

If that doesn't work ask if you can have your desk moved to a better place because the light at the desk you are at know just is terrible. You might not get moved but if you do make sure to say something about being away from her because she distracts you and you can't get work done. If you are talking to a boss you will probably get moved because they want you to get your work done.

If that doesn't work I am very sorry you have to work with her.

Good Luck!!!!!

It may be difficult but the kindest thing would be to take her aside and talk to her. Maybe she never had an adult in her life to teach her about basic grooming. If it really bothers everyone that much and no one else will say anything then be the brave one and do it. She deserves to know, and it can be done kindly.

If you feel this way I'm sure others feel the same way , you should all go to this person as a group and tell her how you feel about her body odor. This should be done in a respectful manner.

If management is not ready to talk with her about it go to HR. HR has to address the issue.

You might as well ask HR if she has medical condition that causes the smell. If that is the case you will have to live with it or get a new job.

In the business handbook with the rules and such, they should have something about appearence and things like that. If it does specify things of that nature, you need to bring it to someone of highter authority attention that it is hard to work around this other person.

It will be tough to change her hygeine routine, the best thing that you could do is rub some vic's vaporub on your upper lip, coroner's sometimes do this to avoid the smell of a dead body.

Not sure if you work at a big corp but the proper thing to do is to take it up with your human resources director. That is their job to take care of things like that. Good Luck.

Just pull her to the side, be very nice and tell her your concerns and asked her if she is aware that she is offending others and let her know this conversation is between only you guys.
