Only time will tell. My personal experience is that inf actuation usually wears off within 6 Mo's to as long as a year, but, it does eventually wear off. Love on the other hand is totally different. Even after all the butterflies have gone away you will find that you and this person are totally on the same page and have so much respect and concern toward one another that transcends anything physical. This feeling can usually last a lifetime with the right person. Remember, love is a verb. You find yourself giving parts of yourself both mentally and physically that you never thought you would have. You don't mind going out of your way for this person and this person feels the same way about you and don't forget, this is a feeling that will last longer than a year! So before you make a decision whether or not you love someone, give yourself time. What you're feeling could just be a flash in the pan!

Limerence is a state of mind characterized by intrusive thinking, longing, uncertainty, hope, misperception, fantasies, and passion. Limerence has been described as "having a crush", "infatuation", "passionate love", "puppy love", "romantic love" or "being in love." It is important to note that limerence is neither love nor sexual attraction. Love, sexual attraction, and limerence can all exist without each other or any or all of them can coexist together.

Limerence begins as a barely perceptible feeling of increased interest in a particular person, known as the limerent object, but one which, if nurtured by appropriate conditions, can grow to enormous intensity. In most cases it also declines, eventually to zero or to a low level. At this low level, limerence is either transformed through reciprocation or it is transferred to another person who then becomes the new limerent object. Under the best of conditions the waning of limerence through mutuality is accompanied by the growth of the emotional response more suitably described as love.

on some serious stuff. love is when u feel u can not live without that person and u would die for that person. u would do and be anythin that person wanted u to be. love is always satisfied but unquenchable. when it comes to love at first sight like my pastor said look again. infactuation is just butterflies and u feel like u r in the clouds. love goes much much deeper than that trust me.

Infatuated means you are interested in what will make YOU happy in the relationship.

Love means you are interested in what will make your PARTNER happy in the relationship.

For example. If your partner says they will not engage in premarital sex because they have higher morals than that, and you get angry and try to get them to do it with you--then you are NOT in love. You are simply infatuated with their body and the relationship will not last. If however you hear that desire of theirs and you shrug your shoulders and say, "That's fine. I want to do what will make you happy." And then you never raise the issue again, then you are probably in love.

You never really will, that is why they say: "love is blind". You just trust each other and go until you both have had enough of each other or manage to spend your life with them, by the way, is allot of work!!!!!! Good Luck!

Infatuated: Obsessed, physically attracted only, feel strong feelings in your body
Love: can't imagine your life without them, like their personality and their physical appearance, feel sick to your stomach when they're not around, think about them all the time
