Be sure to tell your sylist how much hair you want trimmed off. If you tell her half an inch, have her show you what her half inch looks like!
Secondly, there is NO GROWTH LIMIT to a persons' hair! It will grow as long as you want it, it does, however, take time. A half an inch per month is the norm.
Third, getting your scalp in good condition promotes healthy hair and better growth. NIOXIN products are perfect for this, and can even repair damaged hair.
A good diet, exercise are good for healthy hair as well, but even better than that, your body benefits also!
Hope this helps!

Fine hair can break easier than thicker stronger hair. There isn't any shampoo that can make your hair grow, just taking good care of it. Products with peppermint or mint will stimulate your scalp and promote good blood flow to your scalp. Blood is what makes hair grow, Hence the old saying of brushing your hair will make it grow. Limit blow drying to low heat and air dry as much as possible. The more heat you use can weaken hair as well as coloring can too. Highlights with high volume developers also break down hear and can cause damage over time. One thing to keep in mind is to have your hair trimmed monthly, not every three months. But please remember that not everyone can grow long hair. If you seem to reach a length that it won't go past, then cut off a few inches and try to jump start it to promote growth.

Honestly, nothing can really make your hair grow. Hair grows an average of 1/2 an inch a month and sometime 1 inch. Try looking at a few things you're doing if you want to get optimum hair growth each month. 1. Your diet and exercise routine 2. Your water intake 3. Your current hair routine. All 3 things can affect your hair growth severely. Try this site http://www.longhaircareforum.com they are dedicated to everything about long hair. You can always try taking vitamins containing biotin. I know they sell some at Walmart and other stores.

Your hair has probaly reached its limit of growth. Every person has a set hair growth limit. Cutting your hair more often doesn't make your hair grow faster. If you really want your hair longer try hair extensions. You should also look up tips for hair in a fashion magazine.
