my boyfriend, and some people say that Us Christians are ignorant, stupid, for believing stupid stuff, and that we all lie, and take in crap.

I just dont get this. But they take in Satan's, wordly stuff. It just hurts me to see that...

What do you Christians think of that?

I am not a Christian, but I do not believe Christians can be said to be ignorant or stupid. Individual people might be ignorant or stupid, but Christians as a whole are peace-loving, good people.

I think it's important for you not to lump all non-believers into one category, just as it's important that non-believers (or believers in other faiths) do not lump all Christians into one category. To do so is to create a bias and to propagate an untruth.

Your boyfriend sounds rather ignorant himself, if I may take the liberty of saying so. You know what he's saying isn't true, and for him to imply that it is, he is condemning you right along with other Christians. Not particularly kind nor respectful for someone who is supposedly your boyfriend.

more than likely, if he rejects xian beliefs, then he doesn't believe there is a satan.

I mean, the concept of a devil at odds with god that god lets exists is pretty dumb.

And the catholic church doesn't like new ideas. after all, they put galileo and copernicus under house arrest for blasphemy. The catholic church has a lot to be ashamed of right to this day!!!!

oh, and as far as sweething is saying? honey, learn what the scientific method is and when you do? you'll realize that you can't prove a negative so no one can prove he CAN'T exist just as much as no one can prove GRAVITY doesn't exist.
And since YOU are the one that makes the claim he exists, the onus is ON YOU to prove your claim.

I think you ought to pray for your boyfriend.

It's hurtful when people make those kind of remarks, however - if you really look at the source (SATAN) like you've pointed out, than it changes the perspective altogether...

these people are blinded by their own ignorance.

Read 2 Corinthians 4:4 which says:
"The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God."

and when you think about it, it's only another part of prophecy being fulfilled.

Read 2 Timothy 1-7 which says:

"But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God — having a form of godliness but denying its power. Why do people say that? Because you always go on about how we're pawns of Satan and all that stuff. I know I hate that, and I'm sure a lot of people do too. Stop parading around like you know everything, "Oh, I'm the voice of God, I'm the voice of pure good, you're just a pawn of Satan, a follower of pure evil." We only know one thing, and that is that we only know one thing. Nobody knows if there is a god or not, so stop acting like you do and everybody can get along much better.

If you read Daniel 9:27; it says "he died in the middle of the week"; that would be Wednesday. This is followed by "3 days & 3 nights" = Matthew 12:40 which equals 1-24hr.day x 3days equals 72hrs. in grave. Next the Bible tells us it would be "after 3days and "not before = Matt.27:63-64 and Mark 8:31. It tells us in three days (John 2:19-21) and not after. The Bible also reminds us a day is 12hrs. not including the night(John 11:9-10). Remember also Gen.1:5 and Lev.23:32 tells us "evening to evening" is considered to be a day.

Now I know this is true because the MAJORITY(Matt.7:13) is always wrong. Also there's many clues that it wasn't a Friday crucifixion and a Sunday resurrection; look at 2Tim.2:18. But you will point out Mark 16:9 which says "Now when Jesus was risen[the perfect tense is correct here--he was already risen] early the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene." Now the original Greek didn't have no punctuation. If the King James translators put a comma after the word "risen" and not after "week", this would make complete sense. The Centenary Translation renders it this way: "Now after his resurrection, early on the first day of the week he appeared first to Mary Magdalene."

What about the clean/unclean meats being done away with--silly people it's not done away with. I can go on and on.

Tell him you want proof of that. Can he prove that GOD AND JESUS do NOT exist??? How can he? We have faith in something and he doesn't...Neither of us can PROVE anything. What he can lose for NOT BELIEVING....is worse than what we can lose for believing.
