My Son in law is held in the "government building" in dallas. he is being sent to something I think is called SAFE P? They say it is for strict rehabiilitation. Anything will help ASAP!! Thank you, M.E.

It's called Safe Place...your probation officer or any state official could tell you more. It's only for a certain type of offenses and to my knowledge it's a program to scare them and let them see what's going to happen in prison if they don't change their ways.

There is another Safe Place down south by corpus. They keep them for a month, no visitors, no cell phone nothing to do with the outside world. They usually give no info to friends or family.

I believe it is a program for non-violent offenders (Mostly youth but not exclusively) where they get rehab for drugs, work training, etc., to hopefully get them back into mainstream life.
