I mean I sit there and I listen, but damn. All I hear is office crap this, hate my mother that. If all females make the assumption that guys don't listen, and you see a blank drool stare on my face, then what? They should think about what they're talking about. Funny! I feel you and I am a female. There are lots of people that need to realize no one wants to hear about their work. It's only interesting to them. That's the last thing I want to talk about when I am off work! Uhgg

Unfortunately for you, you will lose someday. Listening to your mate is critical as she should listen to your issues.Try to join in when she's venting and get her to see that you need attention too. Tuning someone out is uncaring. Eventually she'll realize this......

Believe it or not I put up with my ex husband for years complaing about work, his co-workers, his father, his brother, he didn't get paid enough, etc. and he expected me to listen to this almost everyday.
