Okay, I feel the need to clarify: I am not interested in your political affiliation. I'm more interested in which non-profit organization (environmental, civil rights, etc.) you're most willing to support (e.g. Sierra Club, NARAL, NAACP, Lambda Legal Defense Fund, etc.)

Primary challenge. In New York, people who are in politics are appointed by committees, both Democrat and Republican. There are even people appointed by both parties, leaving no one to run against them, like here in Buffalo, we had Masiello as mayor, who was registered as both a Rep and a Dem. Same thing as our county executive, Joel Giambra. This causes us to be a democracy on paper, but a rule by seniority in fact.
Primary Challenge tries to change the system by trying to ensure that there is someone, anyone to run against an incumbent in any given district. It ain't freedom if you don't have other options.

two groups, the NRA and the ACLU. Both represent the basic political animal of america.

One is based on our ability to turn out our government as a last resort, the other is based on making the law apply evenly to everyone for any reason.
