Because Muslims are in a bad position politically. They are not quite an organized nation or group of nations, but they are close and they want to be. They are a lot like our original colonies - surrounded by enemies with various foreign controls within and without their location. The added issue of the Oil is why they are struggling so much. It is more in the interest if the rest of the world that they do not come together as a Nation of Islam (like the USA or European Union) because then they would be organized to see their own need would be so great that they would not want to share - and then were is the rest of the world?

It's a very sticky situation and really what it requires is some diplomacy and a global layer of government to oversea and be fair to all sides and abitrate a solution. Islam hates war just like the rest of us. Those civilians over there are just like you and me - raising our kids, going to work, doing chores and living life. 9/11 was only a taste of what those people have been going through for decades. They deserve compassion and the dignity of being treated like a nation, in my opinion.

Dont take it by countries , because in the midevals , europe was more entolerant than the most islamic extremists of nowadays
e.g: when the crusadors invade palastine for the first time and entered jerusalem for the first time ( the city of peace ) they , by the name of GOD , killed every one alife in the city , even when civilians sheltered in the great musque , crusadors made that musque a lovely big blood bath , where they killed every one alife , years later Saladin entered the same city without killing a soul after it surrendered , and christians lived there after that in peace

e.g 2 : when muslems invade spain , they last there for 800 years , and the christians still live there in peace as christians , nobody was forced to change his religon , but later when qween Ezabella and her huspand took back spain , they evacuate it from every muslim in less that 30 years ( of course by tortue and descrimination - having a koran at home was a crime could be sentenced to death penalty at that time)

does that mean that christianity is a violent religion ? and islam is a peaceful one ? of course not ! so what does that mean ?

that means that the whole thing is a matter of civilizations , the more civilized nations , the more tolerant ones ....

now lets go to the modern days , the west , and now the far east too , is at it's peak of civilization , so it can be tolerant with anything , the muslim world is at it's worst days and laying in the bottom of civilization , that's why many of them cant think descent ... they are to blame others about what they are now , and as for there is no hope for being better , an individual violent terrorist efforts came up to face the world , to say we are the solution , and islam is what we stand for , and it ordered us to do so ...

about countries , countries still tolerant , for example , in Egypt , my country , the biggest billionaire is christian , and the other big ones many of them are christians .... christians work in everything as judges , oficers , minister of commerce is christian, i have christian friends ... etc.

BUT , dont take countries as something to see islam from , because it's a matter of periods , that is the period where muslims are at the bottom , so dont excpect much from them , when christians were not so civilized , i told you what they did .... and new thing , when americans got black ppl from africa , where was there tolerance , those blacks had religions at that time , no body respect those religions , some of them were muslims , but they all were forced to convert ( again: does it mean that christianity is bad because what it's countries or followers do , no , but it was a matter of civilization )

Hey Donald, I'm also Vietnamese and I happen to be a Muslim of 3 years now. I suggest you don't believe everything you see/hear from the media. I would probably feel the same way you do towards Muslims if I believed everything on tv. I do admit there are definitely some misguided people who call themselves Muslims, but you should stop judging Islam as a whole, based on the actions of some who claim that they are "Muslim". Why is Islam the fastest growing religion? Do you own research. I have found that Islam and my relationship with God has brought me more peace in my life. "And the (faithful) slaves of the Most Gracious (Allah) are those who walk on the earth with humility and sedateness, and when the foolish address them (with bad words) they reply back with mild words of gentleness." (Qur'an 25:63)

Islam as well as other religions is after peace. Peace is what human being is seeking. Peace is a joy for heart, brain and every emotion.

- Arab Land which has majority of Muslims happened to be the world’s resources for Oil which world’s civilization depends on as the major source of energy.

Thus this area of the world has great interest from everyone and always people fight around controlling resources.

- Arab believe that because Mohamed was an Arab, they should be the father of Islam
Which is totally wrong as Muslims in Asia only are at least three times the population of Muslims in Arab World combined

- Islam is not only a religion but it is a Civilization. The dome at Library of Congress pictures Islam as the civilization that contributed to Science. This civilization is deteriorated after 1000 years not because of Islam but because of Muslims.

- Let us differentiate between what should happen and what is really happening.
-What should happen by Muslims is to follow what God says which are
oRespect others for their differences.
oDo not fight those who do not fight us.
oNever to force any one to follow our religion.
oBelieve in all prophets.
-What is becoming a phenomenon is extremist’s wave which is forbidden in Islam who only believes that they are the only right even among other Muslims.
-Blaming Muslims is like blaming Christians for drinking Alcohol which is forbidden in the Bible.

Where do you get 99%? The worst conflict in the world in the late '90s was in Central Africa and the worst before that was in Rwanda and Burundi. Near as I can tell that entire area is non-Muslim.

If you're talking history, WWI and WWII was fought mainly by Christian (and Buddhist in the Far East) nations.

It's just because Iraq is the thing to report on that you get this impression. Not that I'm defending people who kill and parise Allah while doing it, but 99% is a huge stretch of logic.

Because there are extremists in every religion. It's just that at this point in time, the Islam extremists seem to be the main point of terrorism. But Islam is a peaceful religion, the extremists just twist the religion to conform to their hateful needs, they are really not muslim, they're just using that as an excuse to kill.
