Brown rice is full of fiber, so you get the health benefits of that plus it fills you up without containing much fat. If your full on rice, you're eating less of the fattening stuff.

it does have more fiber yes, it also takes the place of something less healthful like potatoes, pasta, or white rice. The fiber makes you feel fuller, helps slow down your digestion of other foods eated at the same time (even carbs and sugar) so they dont get stored as fat right away like processed carbs do. So yes, in a way, subbed for less nutritious sides, brown rice would help you lose weight.

It's a complex carbohydrate. It takes more work for the body to digest brown rice than white rice. You also need to eat less brown rice than white rice to feel full.
Simple carbs like white rice are digested and used by the body immediately. Immediately as in going straight to fat storage in your body.

i don't think it helps u lose weight only not gain anymore that u would if eating white rice. brown rice r healthy & full of fibre. it also goes back to eating in moderation. hope this helps =)

Probably if that was the only thing you'd eat.
Try it with your meals like chicken and rice,
turkey and rice, pork and rice instead of potatoes.
