YES, testing?, ITS THE BABEL FISH! I'm surprised that no one else was able to make that correlation. Wow some of you (krisskastle, namely) weren't able to pick up that its a LOGIC proof, not physical evidence. And yeah, I realized the error with (2) the first time a person mentioned it. Maybe some of you needed to clarify it for yourselves.

Read Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Douglas Adams RULES! Don't panic.

You make absolutely no sense, as you "assume" a lot of wrong things.

"proof denies faith, and God only exists in faith" .... okay, let's put this in wordly terms. You are probably sitting in a chair, right? So tell me, how do you know that chair will support you? You can point to the number of times you've sat in the chair before and say that more than likely it will hold you up. But that's faith, right? You have no real proof, even the manual doesn't guarantee it.

'But', you say, 'I can show through science the physics of chair building, and show how gravity and leverage work together to keep me in this chair' .... and I'd say simply "yeah, but you can't PROVE it". And I'd be correct, right?

But the chair exists, you exist, and the fact that your chair hasn't fallen down while you read this proves it enough to you, right?

So no, proof does not deny faith, it validates it hon. God exists in real time too.

2) There can be no proof that god exists because proof denies faith, and god only exists in faith.-------WRONG! PROOF REINFORCES FAITH

4) If god created the world and humans then we are living proof that god exists. ---------Q.E.D.
5) We are living proof that god exists. This is a contradiction with (2). --------ABSURD
6) God does not exist by Reductio ad absurdum

^ Nonsense. How does one belief on a term of Metaphysics have anything to do with Cognitive and Ethical behaviours of humans?

Most apologists would deny 2) and claim God doesn't rely on the faith of others to exist. His existence is objective.

Your other points mimic a Design Argument, which only work for those who accept Arguments from Design.

However, Design arguments are incredibly flawed.

EDIT: I have to laugh at how many people took my points in the posts after this one and ran with them...

I fear they really couldn't logically analyze the argument and had to wait for someone else to point out the flaws first.

There's one problem with this and that is in number 2. The belief in God takes faith, the existence of God does not. But other than that, it's a nice twist of words.

That's from Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, i think. The faulty premise is #2. God does not only exist in faith. We at present can only perceive him by faith, but even this is not "blind" faith or "leap of" faith. It is simply a rational, spiritual trust in the clear evidence of nature and revelation.

I love the responses for these types of questions, you always get the same old "show us some cold hard facts". But when you ask for the "cold hard facts" for God's existence, you get quotes from the Bible, so they supported the existence of God with the most disputed book in history. Come on people give more opinions, less gibberish.

Of course God exists. We have airplanes, right?

What keeps them in the air?

Updraft, aerodynamics, sustained propulsion?

Wrong.

God.

God keeps them up. And when they crash, it's because His wife is nagging Him to take the trash out. So he runs the trash out to the curb really fast but sometimes He stumbles over an end table or the family dog on his way back and cannot make it in time to catch a plane or two.

But He tries. He really tries.

If there's no proof that God does exist, do you have any proof that He doesn't? Or do we really need visual and tangible signs to believe that there is a Divine existence who created the universe?

Number 1 youre theory is flawed..God does not exist because of our faith......he clearly existed before we did therefore does not need us to exist...while we are his creation should be proof it isnt or I would not be answering your question.....you are assuming that god exist because of faith....which makes your whole theory here flawed...Gods existance never has depended on our faith....we believe in God because of faith...to not believe in God does not mean God ceases to exist it just means faith no longer exist.

God doesn't exists in faith, God exists in Spirit and Truth. Sorry, you didn't dig far enough into the scriptures to alter my faith in God's existence.
