I am an American. Gitmo is too good to the prisoners as it is. They want to kill Americans and they get treated better than Americans in prison. Anybody that wants to close Gitmo or make it easier or let them go, here is a challenge: Let them come live with you and your family, I didn't think so. If you think they are treated badly, go there and take care of them personally, and after they kill you and yours we will say, told ya so. Get a life people our enimies want you dead too. Why do you want them to kill Americans?

If the people in gitmo commited some crime then they should be charged. Otherwise everyone there is a political prisoner.

So what you're saying is that it's okay to keep Muslims locked up without charging them but it's wrong to do likewise with marines?

I'm outraged that 2600 Americans have been killed in an illegal war in Iraq. I'm outraged that 100,000 Iraqis have been killed in this war. I'm outraged that our civil liberties are being eroded.

If these people are war criminals how come they haven't been charged with war crimes? Which war crimes have they commited?

I support our armed forces, that they do their jobs and come back safely. I don't support the war in Iraq, I think it's a sham and the wool is pulled so far over everyone's eyes that there's not really much hope. People want GITMO closed down because of the torture going on there, the false accusations, and things that don't do honor to the spirit of our country. It makes us look like a barbaric people.

The problem is that they're being held for years without being charged with any crime. There are also many reports of unfair treatment of the prisoners. I know a lot of people would say good, they're horrible people and don't deserve fair treatment, but until they are charged, they aren't guilty. One of the #1 rules of war is treat your prisoners the way you would want the enemy to treat your people. That is why we have a rule against torture.

I think they should keep it open becuase if they close it and let everybody out that would be damaging to our nations securtiy. And what the hell is up with the ACLU (American Communist LOVERS UNION) defending them that is almost treason in my book. Also if these guys want to hang and starve themselvs. Thats just wondeful one less scum on the earth.

Because it is an illegal prison illegally holding people captured in an illegal war. Why do you think it is in Cuba rather than the US?

you sure have it right, there is not enough praise of our military and everyone is trying to be politically correct that they don't care if they are siding with the enemy
