You might want to include some of these places: A trip up the C.N. tower, one of Toronto's landmarks. Go down to Harbourfront and take a ferry ride over to Centre Island.
The Royal Ontario Museum and Ontario Art Gallery are worth visiting. There are interesting shopping areas: Yorkville..(upscale), Queen Street West, (funky). There is an interesting Chinatown area and the garment district on Spadina. Check out some of the live theatre productions and depending on the kind of music you enjoy, there are lots of venues for music. If you are there on a Saturday, go early to the St. Lawrence Market....neat place to buy some fresh produce, baked goods, cheeses. Buy a copy of the magazine, "Toronto Life" which is a monthly magazine which tells you about what is playing in Toronto and about the various restaurants. Because Toronto is a multi-cultural city, you will enjoy a wide variety of ethnic cuisine. Have a good time.

You are only planning on a day in Toronto? I am going to give you a list of some things, but if you want to hit more than one, you'd better set aside about 3 days or more, or better yet, if you like what you see after the 1st trip, come again & take in the rest. 1st of all Toronto is over a 2 hour drive from Niagara, so start your day early. There's the CN Tower, Ontario Place, Toronto Island, Canadian National Exibition (Last 2 weeks August), Canada's Wonderland (about 20 min North of T.O) The Royal Ontario Museum, The Distillery District, Yonge Street & Dundas, & those are just the things I can think about off the top of my head. (Can you guess where I'm from?) For more info go to www.toronto.com.
Have a Great Trip.

Well if you like the water, the Harbourfront is the place to go, it's on Front Street, it's also near the CN Tower which is also near the Roger's Centre(formerly known as The Sky Dome) There's the Eaton's Centre which is also nearby at Queen&Yonge St. Yonge Street in itself is a must see. CityTV /MuchMusic (ChumBuilding)has a big open window concept (you can actually watch tv shows done live) and offers tours(a must see)Located at Queen and John St. All these places that I've mentioned are all downtown and within close proximity to each other. Hope you enjoy our wonderful city!

You mean besides the view! There are several places to eat unlike US side of Niagara, sorry to say that. But its true. Toronto is much much fun compared to the US side of Niagara. We almost starved when we went last year to Niagara to see it from 'Our neck of the woods'! We were just looking from US side and we could see how people were having fun the other side. You can't come back without having fun in Toronto. You go there and you will see it for yourself.

CN Tower (tallest free-standing structure in the world), Sky Dome, take a walk along Yonge street and look at the distance to far away places (the numbers are on the sidewalk), go to the Zoo (but only if you plan to spend the whole day there), go to Ontario Place/CNE (likewise, if you're willing to spend a lot of time)... lots of things to do...
