The best place to go in the summer is out to Folsom Lake. Most younger people spend a lot of time out there when it's so hot like this. You can go out on your friend's boat, jet ski, or go on a wave runner. You can swim and tan in the sun, or just hang out with friends.

Lots of shopping, Sunrise Mall, "J" Street Mall, Old Sacramento is a MUST, You can spend all day there and not see all the shops. The Train Museum is also in Old Sac and another 3/4 -1 day event. The summertime brings the great Cal Expo which is the State Fair and it runs most of the summer with water slides open and all.

Whoever said surf is an idoiot! There is no place to surf unless you are on LSD. Sac SUX! I live there and it is full of idiot drivers and alcoholics. If you are trying to find something fun you should go on the freeway at around 1 a.m. or 2 and watch all the drunk drivers try to stay in the lines, it will never happen. Stay out of El Dorado County, the saying goes, "come on vacation, leave on probation!"
