I'm from New York, but say if I go to L.A...Will I get shot up if I wear the wrong colors?

Whether or not you get shot depends on a lot of things. If you aren't a latino or black male between about 13 and 30 your odds of getting shot are a lot lower. You would have to spend time in some very bad neighborhoods, usually at night to be at much risk. And colors make a lot less difference these days. There are crips who even wear red these days and bloods who wear blue. You are most likely to get shot if you are in a neighborhood with an active war going on and they think you look like you are a member of the rival gang. There are, of course, a lot of exceptions. But most people in LA never notice any real gang activity.

*rolling eyes* Listen, homie. You can't go by the movies & music videos you see. You won't get shot by wearing the wrong colors, man!!! I've been in hood for all my life & that whole thing about gang banging theory is some bulls@#%! Anyone is a target. Just don't be in the wrong place @ the wrong time! Which retard told you that! LA is Considered not to bad thou I hear New York Is safer than LA so I forget the statistics But all I do know is that LA is not ranked in the Top ten nor is it rank in the Bottom ten Major Cities.

I would think you'd have the same chances as you would in NYC. I'm glad I never have to worry about the possibility of being shot for what I'm wearing.

Gangs are territorial. The bay area isn't huge-spread for its gang inhabitants. merely certain neighborhoods have intense expenses of crime. l. a. is the position distinctive the gang bangers are at. maximum folk outside l. a. dont rep it that not straight forward, becuase they are not retarded. seem up "oakland crime gang" there are mexican gangs in east oakland yet thats about it.

no tou will not get shot or mugged as in new york, just be aware in your sorrounding if something not feel to good walk away just like any place in this country petty crimes on the rise

hell ya its crazy up in dis motha fcuka....heres some tips stay out of Compton, east LA , and LBC, and you might just make it trough... don't go around saying yore from N.Y.
