Yes, he was nailed to the cross, but he died when a soldier's spear pierced his side.

Actually, Jesus was not killed. Yes, He was nailed to a cross after enduing many verbal and physical insults, but non of theses things killed Him. Jesus was the son of Mary. This made him mortal but He was also the Son of God. This made him immortal. In other words, even though He could die He had power over death. He was not killed but rather He chose to die. No one else on Earth has had that power.

In the stories in the book called "The Bible", he was crucified (and probably died on the cross), though in some versions he died a bit later, and in some gospel accounts not included in the "popular bible" he survived the cricifixion (which was not unheard of in that era) and went on to have a life. There is much evidence to suggest, however, that there may not have been any one particular person called "jesus", and that the stories about him are an amalgam of popular tales circulating at the time of the writing of the gospels about 1800 years ago.

Roman texts from the time do in fact record several people going by the name of Jesus of Nazareth but no texts found suggest that any of these people were in fact crucified on a cross.
doesn't mean it didn't happen, just that there is no unbiased proof of the whole Crucifixion story described in the bible.
My belief is that he in fact died in a fiery auto crash whilst racing at the Indy 500.

Jesus was killed by the indifference of good men. Every one turned their cheeks because selfishness is the way of men. No one would lay themselves on the line to protect him, not even his mother. tells allot about human beings. Jesus was killed with hate and cowardice

They nailed him to this big wooden thing, called a 'cross'. Read the book sometime, it's a real adventure!
