I stopped using toothpaste altogether to avoid this problem. Granted I've given up human contact, but I can live with my decision.

Yuk, flush it down the toilet, that's what I do. If you clean the top of the tube off before closing the cap then you shouldn't have that problem (I'm a hypocrite for saying that, though, I never clean it off myself).

I use the toothpaste with the screw on tip. Then every few days, chuck it in the dishwasher.

I usually run hot water over the tube and let it run into the drain, Or I will just wipe it off it off with toilet paper and toss it into the toilet or garbage bin.

Ugh, I hate that. Just wipe it off with toilet paper, then chuck it in the bin where it belongs.

hey i bought some of that jewelery!! i collect them and throw them into the dishwasher, my plates come out smelling minty fresh.
