I worked with them. And did many studies. The Indians do not look at the past much-they moved on. You should try it. And many say as their history that many enjoyed the settlers--race issues came later. They are not racist they have opinions. And they hate you who are sprouting your lies about their history. This is a big thing for them. And they wish we had more accurate knowledge on the subject.

On Amnesty and the border--most want the border closed at any cost. Amnesty is a split issues some do some don't. Many fight with the Minutemen who live near border and others protest loudly. Others don't care. And some feel we have too many people now. It varies.

And they do not believe the land was stolen from them like some sprout they know better.

Why all the lies? To prove your point?

I say Quit using them and God -they don't support your views.

Native Americans are no different than any other group of people, we each have our own opinions and they are all different. That is what makes humanity interesting and each person unique. History is in the past, we can all learn from it. That is why the USA made laws. By learning through years that some things need regulating. The immigration problem is one of those things. Manifest Destiny is part of history. So is the fact that the USA acquired land through winning a war. The treaty, concluded at Guadalupe Hidalgo, Mexico was required to cede its claim to California and New Mexico, as well as lands in between them and to the north, to the United States and to recognize the Rio Grande as the southern and western boundary of Texas. In return, the United States paid Mexico a gratuitous $15 million cash and assumed some $3,250,000 more in claims of American citizens on the Mexican government. The USA never stole any land from Mexico. Mexico lost that war, get over it.

I am a Native American (half Cherokee)

I speak for myself: Mescalero Apache from the state of New Mexico. I will attempt to answer your question and hope you will not retaliate.

If you and your view is that "the Indians moved on," then it is people like who use this forum for uselss rehtoric. Are you not the one that keeps the fires burning and feel entitled to defend me as a race? Yours is all hearsay. The events of Manifest Destiny are now history and your opinion is simply your civil right.

Why do you exclude yourself from the likes of the racists that exist on this forum. Are you telling me racism was born yesterday? Would you agree that racism comes in many forms and disguises? Why do you deny the obvious: in your profile you are not convincing about defending my heritage because in the next breath you discriminate against the legal or illegal, such as the Mexicans. I could believe your good intentions if you did not mix yourself in the reponses of the others in this forum who stereotype every Mexican, legal or not.

I do not understand your comment that states: "Quit using them and God - they don't support your views."

I, a Mescalero Apache, do not support your view of my people. Why? Because you are irresponsibly PATRONIZING. I am entitled to say to you: "There are many lies in your question here."

History does not lie. To prove what point? You speak to an altruistic nature that you do not possess. Your answers are not consistent to prove you are the spiritual entity you profess. You are the epitome of a "non-sequitir." Working amongst my people is not a license to judge how Indians feel about the issues of race and Manifest Destiny.

Additional Comment - Like I said, a "non-sequitir."

You do not speak for me. My people were robbed of their lands and driven for thousands of miles to reservations (The Trail of Tears). Many died along the way. Some of them (Tsalagi ..Cherokee) managed to escape that misfortune by hiding in the Great Smoky Mountains, intermarrying with whites and blending in. My people will keep the memory of those who died in our history and legends forever. That being said, we do and have moved on. I feel the illegal immigrants have no right using our history as something similar to what they are doing. It is a whole different story. My people were already here LEGALLY. My mothers people were Irish, they came here LEGALLY. None of the history of Native Americans or LEGAL immigrants compares to what those illegal immigrants are doing. Even if our ancestors came here ILLEGALLY then, there were no laws concerning immigration at that time. That is past, gone, history! We now have laws against illegal entry and those laws should be enforced. They were not passed for no reason. this is MY opinion and I don't speak for anyone but myself.

Natives have been used and abused for many purposes throughout the history of this country. This is just one more lame attempt by criminals to justify the illegal immoral behavior of the masses of invaders.
I am Native American. Sho-Ban tribe. Also a heathen, dont believe in your god, I have my own gods. good point though.

Its just a ploy by some. And yes to prove a point.

Because they are just trying to find a way to justify illegals coming here and having an open border.

The only thing that I've seen is saying we should give this country back to Mexico cuz they were here first, then they'd have to give it back to the Indians cuz they were here before, and 15-35,000 years before that it belong to Asia as that's where the Indians came from.

Other than that, you got me.
