No , because he is not the empror , he is just a president , they will not let him as president for a single day , there will be a reelection , and he would fail in it , that is because americans vote for him as a non muslim , so if he converted he is considered as he is broke a contract with the people , so they have the right to break his election and choose another one ( or maybe him , but with a new election)

No. The government is like an unstoppable machine, constantly moving forward on its own momentum. No one man can stop or start any action that occurs within our government. No president could stop a war even if he wanted to. If he attempted to, he would be instantly cast down and abondoned by all those within the government and in industry who benefit from following him and who in turn benefit him with their support.

It would take either a very influental president or an immensly popular one to force a war to stop. It would take a man so popular that no one who rode on his coat tales would dare to oppose him.

Every politician has so many people to please with his every action that it becomes almost impossable to perform any action. The very nature of a democracy existing within a country as large and diverse as ours makes any decision or action incredably difficult.

We entered Afganistan out of necessity, and continued into Iraq through momentum. Moral and national pride was so high after our swift invasion of Afganistan that it was nearly impossable not to continue into other percieved threats, our advance and military strength seemed undeniable. At the time, it was completely incomprehensible to the American people that any additional invasion and occupation would be as difficult as Iraq has prooven to be.

We are likely to continue on our own momentum until Iraq, and the middle east at large, is solved in some way. So, no, an Islamic president would be completely unable to stop the war.

No. Now, if Brad and Angelina suddenly converted to Islam, that would fundamentally redraw the map of religious power in the world.

That would be cool!! There's a seperation of church and state so he or she couldn't impose an Islamic government. I'd vote for an Islamic candidate for President but that wouldn't be the only reason.

I would leave the country quietly and quickly. A bloodbath would soon follow wherein anyone not converting to islam would be executed. The bill of rights would become a museum peace, if it didn't disappear all-together and our government would mimic theirs, not the other way around.

well it shouldn't, there is supposed to be a separation of church and state, meaning your religion should have nothing to do with war, unfortunately, some people seem to have a problem with this.
