The first question I must ask you in return is "which one?" There are plenty of funny things about lots of deities, but we need to be clear about which one we are speaking.
I think it was G. K. Chesterton who said something to the effect that "the test of any good religion is whether or not it can laugh at itself." This, however, says nothing about deity but rather about a particular system for characterizing divine reality. If a deity can't laugh at itself, then it probably is not a deity at all. And if we can't laugh about our own gods, then we are in serious trouble. Religion is like a cartographer's guild, sired by that rascal Hermes, and it is very helpful to relegate one's own to the realm of humour, at least some of the time, imho.
