For most bass cone speakers (woofers) you'll find that packing tape will work fairly well. This methiod works well depending on the size of the speaker and the material used for the centre cap. Small woofers, less then 5", will require a different method.

Place the sticky side against the centre cone and gradually pull towards you while you hold the cone. This works best with larger cones of many different materials. Take your time. Doing things to quickly can cause more damage to the speaker that may not be repairable. A dented centre cone cap has little or no effect on overall sound quality. However, a warped or twisted voice coil will make the speaker sound terrible.

I have used this method on many different speakers and it works quite well.

The only way I have ever seen it done, is with painter's tape. But it is still very risky. The painter's is not as sticky as normal tape, so the motion must be fast to pull the dent out and pull the tape off at the same time, but I have seen small tears occur, which usually get repaired with duct tape.

had a friend tht used suction cups on it, worked well apparently...personally i used some warm water on a towel, place that towel over the bent area, leave it for a few minutes, should pop back up..but this only works with plastic centers, the aluminium ones are kinda hard to bent out.

The center cap is the voice coil cover, if the dent is a soft dent

If it is a hard dent..Ie one with a defined crease..in most cases its best to just let it be..GET A GRILLE and cover it..
