Children should be allowed to get plastic surgery only when it is considered necessary due to accidents or birth defects. Cosmetic surgery should never be a consideration when it is requested in an effort to boost low self esteem. Children should be taught that real beauty comes from within, not by a plastic surgeon's scalpel.

No, I don't think children (people ages 0-17) should be allowed to have plastic surgery. I think so because they aren't old enough to weigh out the pros and cons correctly and may make a bad life decision that is irreversible.

it would depend on the type and the reason for plastic surgery, my niece had plastic surgery after a car accident, and i've known babies that need plastic surgery for a clef lip or palet. but just to get plastic surgery to look better no, i think its a terrible idea.

uh, No! they haven't even fully developed their features yet so how would they know they want to change anything. The end result won't surfacce until adulthood. I don't even look anything like my childhood photos and I never had plastic surgery...I just grew up!

NO their parents might say they don't like the childs nose or something stupid so no but my only exception is if the child has an accident that not changing the defect could scar the child's life forever

would have to depend upon the age of the child and what is being fixed. Who wants the child to have surgery?..The parents or the child itself?

Onlt if there is a deformation of some kind. Kids need to be taught self confidence and self esteem--not that they can change their appearance with money.

For something like big ears, if a child's getting bullied because of it and a simple op can help, I don't see why not.

Definitely not. They need to mature and finish growing first. Their body parts will change and thus the surger will be adversely affected.
