Because it is the real thing and all others will do anything they can to stop it.
All one would have to do is read the Bible. There are to many things that have come true to be a fluke and to be written that long ago.
Only time will tell the truth but if it is true what is your excuse going to be, and if its not is it so bad to be a kind and caring person to others. To me either way you win.

One of the reasons you have seen Christianity so bombarded with publicity is because it can. There is so much in documentation and ancient records it has made itself available to those that want everyone to turn to anything but Christ.

Christianity is also very difficult to follow. Look at the world. I don't think folks are thinking about Christ so much by their actions we see everyday; on TV, movies, books and magazines, jokes, all show we are not very Christ like. So people are falling away. Scientology is all about taking your money mostly. One of the reasons I believe Mr. Jackson and Ms. Presley divorced, the Church of Ms. Presley thought about the "Jackson" money and wanted a piece of what would have become the worlds largest money legacy in the world.

Now the De Vinchi Code comes out and everyone is talking. Most are trying to say it isn't so. But Jesus could have been married, by gosh, he WAS a man before the Crucifixion yes?

I think also that a lot of people of Islam, and Buddhism, the Hindu, the Jews, all worship ONE God! Each just has a different "take" on how to look at life, and death, and how to behave while on this plain of existence. Check out the "Dead Sea Scrolls" and you will see where all this began, over 3,000 years ago!

Because it has the most number of followers that actually live daily for one purpose.. to make someone else believe what they believe.. Not any other religious people just believe something blindly and waste their life into pursuing others into believing what they believe. Because they are not always successful.. thus comes apostates.

It could have something to do with your complete lack of familiarity with history, specifically the history of the pagan religion you are calling Christianity.

I love quotes and copy and paste and not being lazy. Here you go:

10: Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
11: Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
12: Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.
