sit down and talk calmly with your supervisor, ask him/her to provide a detailed list of behaviors which should be changed in order to better yourself and assist in getting a promotion.

Who tells you you don't have the right attitude?

Be nice, do not be defensive, smile, See if the company has anything in writing as to promotional policies.

If you are unhappy with the results. Go to the next person on the "ladder"

First and for most if your supervisor actually stated you couldn't advance because you're overweight then you have a valid lawsuit against your company.i know there are people that will disagree with me on the lawsuit, but it's discriminatory. Please don't let this pass, speak to an attorney.as for your supervisor follow the chain of command for airing grievances.let us know the outcome.

Time to call a good civil laws and human rights lawyer and sue the company. That will make changes around your workplace.
