Worthy of humanity? As in worthy to be the mother & father of all? Apparently that was God's opinion, so that's a good enough reason for me.

Not that I can think of all my examples here but.

Considering that Adam and Eve were the closest thing to perfection, and all we've really seen is a devolution in mankind then I'd say they are the most worthy of humanity.

Examples:

1. The age of the earliest generations were measured in centuries, not decades. Genetic defects are being introduced shortening our lifespans.

2. More war-like.

3. etc.

I believe that Adam and Eve are meant to represent humankind at its earliest stage. I don't take the Bible literally. Given that, if they were meant to represent the origins of humanity, they must have been deemed worthy.

Adam was an ignorant bugger, but Eve was wise for listening to the clever serpent who opened her mind. I venerate the serpent because she (Zoe) is the daughter of god and savior of the world.
