I wish to do this before the school year starts. I am pretty athletic, and don't mind working out. But I am busy during the day, and can't afford to go workout at a gym. What are somethings that I can do to drop some weight?

All you need to do is make small simple changes that are not very hard to do. 20 minutes before each meal have a large glass of water. This gives you the feeling of being fuller before you even start. Don't forget to drink at least 8 - 10 glasses of water each day. This also helps to flush out your system. Eat more vegetables and fruit and a few less carbs. Don't forget to include protein, this helps keep healthy muscle mass.
Activities, cardio 20 minutes a day, 3 times a week at least. This can be walking, biking, dancing, whatever you find fun and enjoy. The other days toning like squats for the legs, leg lifts and for the arms if you have no weights, 2 water bottles filled will do great with resistance. Make these small changes and you will find the weight will come off, and stay off, for good.

Good luck

Well, I'm pretty athletic 2, and whenever i eat like a candybar or something i gain like five poundsinstantly, so it's pretty hard 4 me to keep it off 2. What i do is go swimming a lot(well during the summer) and try not 2 drink pop that often and eat healthier than i usually do, and workout at least 10 mins a day(which doesn't happen) but i try.

You can incorporate 30 minutes of aerobic exercise in your workout atleast 4 times a week. Try using SlimFast when doing this, it really works! Or you can try the Special K cereal challenge where you replace two meals a day with a bowl of that cereal for 2 weeks and that might work. Good luck!

5 pounds is easy to drop. What's hard is keeping it off.

The best way, truly, is to eat right and watch your portions. People for the most part eat far more calories than they burn a day. Try to find out what works best for you. Don't eat as much red meat and try to stick to lean meats like poultry or fish. Watch your sugar and fat intake as well.

But on top of that, exercise! It's the best way to keep off weight. You may find that by exercising your weight does not drop as fast but you -will- be replacing fat with muscle and you -will- lose inches.

stomach crunches, push ups, and jogging. make yourself do them at least five nights a week. do them all week and you can take the week ends off. these are all used by the U.S. military to train soldiers, so i think they know what they're doing. plus change your diet. No sugar , no bread , and only water or skim milk. oatmeal or egg whites for breakfast. chicken, turkey or some lean fish, and veggies for lunch. No BREAD!! another lean meat and salad for dinner. don't cheat much or you don't get ahead , like anything else in life. stay away from fructose, glucose...anything ending in -ose is sugar. drink water. have no more than 100 grams of carbs. and eat more protein than that. read labels. i lost 40 pounds and this is how i did it. i was dedicated. I wish you good luck!

just drink more water. water makes someone less hungry. also stay away from mustard it does the opposite. invest in buying a small weight or medicine ball that you can do some simple excericises with. sometimes i wake up earlier before school and do some crunches and pushups in the morning which u should only do if you are really dedicated to losing that weight

The body is nature's best processing plant. If you put natural products into your body, it will process these to build muscle, bones, blood & strengthen your immune system. The foods we eat are highly processed & contain synthetic chemicals (not natural). These chemicals inhibit the proper processing & consequently the body accumulates unwanted fat. Losing weight should be a slow process so the body can get used to the lesser weight. I suggest that you eat healthy foods, preferably organic. There is an Australian organisation that manufactures organic products, skin care, cosmetics & food.

Try getting some exercise tapes at the local library, maybe a Pilates tape. Other than that, diet exercise, sleeping right(a full 8 hours a night) and plenty of water should do it. Also keep track of your progress and show the reults to your physician.

Just watch what you eat and take small steps to be even more active, like take stairs not elevators, if you live close to work maybe you can bike there or walk that should help you lose some weigt, aslo amp up your fruits and vegetables and cut out fried food and soda all together.
