Well in a sense 1852. In 1852 George Schneider established the Bavarian Brewery in St. Louis. In 1857 Adolphus Busch moved to St. Louis. In 1860 Eberhard Anheuser aquired (bought) the Bavarian Brewery and renamed it to E. Anheuser & Co. In 1861 Adolphus Busch married Lilly Anheuser and began workinf at E. Anheuser & Co. in 1864. In 1869 Adolphus Busch purchased half ownership and in 1879 the name was changed to Anheuser-Busch Brewing Association.
So it all began in 1852 but became Anheuser-Busch in 1879 but the offical responce of when the two men came together to make beer is 1864.

In 1852 it was called Bavarian Brewery. Then in 1860 Eberhand Anheuser bought the Brewery and renamed it E. Anheuser & Co. Therefore, from 1852 it is 154 years and from 1860 it is 146 years
