Squats are great for thighs. Also for the inner thigh the best is doing basic legs lifts while laying on your side. There are lots of equipment out there but most pros will just recommend the basics to get the same results.

three times a week do:
lunges - 4 sets of 15-20 reps
Squats - 4 sets of 15-20 reps
side lunges - 4 sets of 15-20 reps
on another three days do:
stair or hill climbs -30 seconds running or wlaking fast upwards, 1 min walking down down (recovery) - repeat this 15-25 times (increase number of times each week)
walk at a fast pace for 30-45 min lift those knees high
walk laps in a pool for 20 min or stationary bike ride for 30 mins
this routine will shape those legs fast - expect to see results in 4-6 weeks

the pilates dvd has a great thigh exercise, very easy to do. Also great one for hips as well.
