Why do some homosexuals call themselves christians? I am not judging..really think about it..God hates sin?

he makes it very clear in the KJV that it is wrong to be gay, just as it is wrong for me to drink..lie ect. God is loving, but he also has a temper when it comes to open sin. Not bashing gay's just wondering why they call themselves christians? There are so many new religions why not make one up for homosexuals.

Okay, let's assume that the Bible is really the word of God. I don't believe in God, but whatever. The point is, that eating pork, touching the skin of a pig, preparing meat and dairy together, wearing clothes made from more than one type of fabric, and many, many other things THAT YOU DO ALL THE TIME are sins. So stop judging people. Seriously. And why are you acting as though homosexuals were a completely separate group for humanity? Why not a religion for left-handed people? Or redheads? Read the book of Leviticus in the Old Testament, and you will see that an enormous multitude of things are sins. Get over your homophobia and accept them as people.

God hates sin of every kind. The only sin that ultimately separates us from God is the sin of unbelief. All other sins will be forgiven if we simply ask. That means the sins of homosexuals are no greater than any other sins of sexual impropriety. For example, I have committed many sins against God, but He has graciously forgiven me for each and every one. And I am a Christian. All a homosexual person needs to do is recognize his or her sin, ask God for forgiveness, and, as the Bible says, "Go and sin no more". Homosexuals are no different than any other person in this respect, and can become Christians as easily as anyone on the planet.

Just because a person is gay does not mean that a gay person can not love and worship God. A person can not change the way they feel it is not like that that's like saying it is a sin to be black and you need to be white you can not because that is the way you were born. Please quit making God sound like a mean God because if you Love god you would not be going around and threatening people with him. God is Love. God might look at being Gay as a disability people that are not born perfect.

Well they just want to belong and even though they are gay some still have the same beliefs as other christians (except for the gay part). Which is true of most christians. For example catholics dont believe in birth control pills but many women still practice the religion AND take the pills.

Yikes... Um, I don't know where to start with this one.
You seem very proud of yourself that you're not a homosexual & therefore not a sinner. Pick up that bible of yours, and scan through it for a while...
I think that the bible says perhaps once that it's a sin to be gay (Man lying with another man, etc). But it also says a whole bunch of stuff that people tend to ignore. Here are some examples:

-It's perfectly moral to sell your daughter
-Disobediant kids should be stoned to death
-It's a sin to plant two different kinds of crops in the same field
-It's a sin to wear clothes woven of more than one type of material
- It's a sin to adorn your body with gold...

And that's just a few. So, yaya, you own a gold jewlery? You own any clothes made of more than one material? You're a sinner, just like all those homosexuals! Maybe you should start your own religion! If you're nice, maybe all the gays will let you join theirs -- I bet they'd put on absoulutely FABULOUS services, with the best music & tastiest finger-foods!

Homosexuals arent Christians. A Christian means Christ follower, which is following in Jesus' footsteps, and obeying the principles and guidelines He set down for us. He sat that being gay is wrong, so doing it is sinning.
Everybody sins, but you must repent. Definition of repent: ask forgiveness and stop performing the sin. Homosexuals don't stop, so they're not following Jesus. If you have ANY sin that you continuously repeat over and over every day and don't ask forgiveness, you have a major problem and need to talk to God about it.
He stills loves the sinners, but they won't spend eternity with Him until they repent.

Yes God hates sin. If you look up the Bible in the Old Testament(i think it's deutoronomy) God spoke strongly against these sins through his Prophet. You know why? Because in the begining, God created a man to look after his garden. He found the man lonely and needed companion. So, God put Adam to a deep sleep and took out his rib to create a WOMAN. She was to be Adam's helper. So we were meant to be like this. Homosexuals and all sinful people are to prepare for God's wrath in time to come.

i am a homosexual christian and i have two things to say. First of all, if you know about origin of the King James Version of the bible was translated by a king being accussed of homosexuality in an era were homosexuals were being burned for their lifestyle. If you can go back and read the bible in its original languages you will find out that when it speaks against homosexuality it is really only speaking out against the act of sodomy. But the term "sodomy" has even been twisted from its original meaning. In the original text of the old testement the word that they used actually meant man to man rape, i violent act. Not intercourse. My only other comment is jesus message was a one of love and acceptance. we are all people. lets just leave it at that.

Because a sexual preference does not eradicate the need for a spiritual connection with God - the God of anybody's understanding. You will find many Christians in prison after having committed serious crimes. Do you think God stops loving them?

If I were to ask you the opposite of LOVE, you will likely answer: HATE.

But, the opposite of love is JUDGMENT. Without judgment we could all be empathetic and able to reason. Yet, in accordance to the Bible and our Christian faith, the biggest sin of all is judgment. Let God judge gays, as He is judging you. They are still human beings in need of a faith. Try to understand that we are not the judges of their soul. Who are we? Let's help God by not doing his job.....Love and Peace, my friend. Pride is a worst sin yet.

I agree with you..but they say that everyone is a sinner, of course we are, but we must repent to enter heaven. If you repent for being a homosexual then you will stop that lifestyle, THATS WHAT REPENTANCE IS ALL ABOUT!..so yeah, I agree but not with the whole making up a religion, not such a good advice.

I say if you are "gay" and a christian, then ask God for forgiveness and drop that sexuality with the help of God..that is if you REALLY are a christian or want to be

what pisses me off is when they claim to be born that way...NO ONE IS BORN GAY NOR STRAIGHT! it is not and never be a part of your dna..it's like saying you're born an alchoholic, ITS A CHOICE!!God condemns gays then why would He create them!
