Yes, although no form of birth control, including abstinence (for instance, in the case of rape), is 100% effective. For instance, 1 out of 10 sexually active women who use the Pill for a year will get pregnant. Or 15% of women whose partners use condoms. See sources section below.

Yes, usually the birth control pill works, but for best results you must take it everyday, and within the same time frame everyday. Also there are some prescription medications that can interfere with the pill, such as antibiotics. (something to mention to your doctor) The shot works really well, but there are side effects like not having a period for months at a time and then having a really harsh one. A lot of my friends are now using the new patch and it has worked for them, but I believe there is a weight limit with this form. It all has to do with what type of person you are and whats best for you.

Depends on how well it is used. Most of the time it is fairly successful but there is always a chance even when used properly.

A condom is probably the best method as it also prevents STDs which could also be a problem.

Pills are another options but they influence body chemistry and so could have side-effects and also tend to be less successful since it can be disrupted with other drugs or not work properly. It also doesn't prevent STDs.

Abstinence is the only 100% sure way to prevent getting pregnant, (IE not rape) but a Condom is likely the second best method.

Not doing anything to prevent is the worst.

The only thing that is 100% effective is abstinence. People will tell you, "yea, if you take right. If you get pregnant on it you didn't do right". They are wrong! I took the pill everyday at 9:30 in the morning and NEVER missed a day (we even used condoms) and I got pregnant. Sadly I miscarried. I then chose to try the depo shot. I always got it a week early and was NEVER late! Well, my son is a depo baby. If you don't want kids, don't have sex.
Also remember, sex can mean AID's, chlamydia, herpes, and other dangerous STD's.

Ive been on the pill for 6 years and it has worked for me, the key is to take it at the same time every day go to Pillpaks.com and you can get a pill case with a timer that goes off and reminds you to take your pill. good luck

depends on what you're using it for since it can be used for stuff other than birth control...but yes, it does work if done properly.

It's not 100% but it's close. If used correctly condoms can be pretty effective but abstinence is the only way to be sure not to get preggers.

Good luck!

abstinence is the best form of birth control.

No, it doesn't work at all. That's why manufacturers continue to make them...so people can waste money and get pregnant anyway. Why would you ask such a ridiculous question?
