If a fictional movie can shake your faith so much that you give up your beliefs - then you faith was not much to speak of to begin with.

Why do you lump all christians together as if we're all afraid of this movie? I read the book, liked it, and saw the movie, it was okay. So why would I have a problem with it. Do you think I'm "every christian"??? Or is the catholic church "every christian"??? Very confusing. It's very annoying to get lumped together like that.
And you know what, I know its a secret and all, but I'll tell you. It's fiction. Yep, it's true, the book is fiction, Mr. Brown states its fiction and it is. I read a lot of fiction, does that mean "every christian" can't read fiction? Another secret, DaVinci never saw Jesus. It's true, he wasn't in the same era, so he had no idea what the last supper looked like, it's called art. It's all from imagination, which is what writers use when they write fictional books.
Personally, I'd stick with the book, its much better than the movie, but you should do some research on christians, cause its very tricky lumping us all together.

God doesn't give us a spirit of fear! Hollywood movies doesn't show what true Christianity is all about! I believe Christians are stronger in their faith. Non-Christians are searching and seeking for the real truth regardless of what hollywood movies shows.

We are not afraid of Hollywood or their movies. We have to clean up the mess created by this anti-God stuff. We just wish they would help with the problems in the world instead of creating more.

Christians put their "FAITH" on the dictated beliefs of religion. When those beliefs are changed or given another interpretation or a discovery of possible evidence to disprove that belief... then the person's belief is threatened and shaken, and as their belief goes... so goes their Faith.
Faith should not be put upon beliefs of man-made religions, but on the fundamental truths and teachings of Jesus Christ. But in order to do that it takes years of research and readings and study for a personal faith to be developed... and to really learn personally for ones self the teaching OF Jesus Christ... not the teachings ABOUT Jesus Christ.
When faith is frail... it is susceptible to doubt and possible abandonment... Faith needs strengthening... not weakening.

There's a saying:
Write a nonfiction book, and be prepared for the legion of readers who are going to doubt your facts. But write a novel [or a screen play], and get ready for the world to assume every word is true. (Barbara Kingsoliver)
This is no cause for 'fear', though. The truth about God prevails when it really matters.

They that trust in the Lord shall be as Mount Zion and shall not be removed but abideth forever.
A book based on fiction (The DaVinci Code) holds no weight to a non-fiction book (The Bible).
