U should just wait long enough 2 go into the bathroom with your razor knife & CHOP your ears into a POINT then put some duct tape on them with popsicle sticks so when U start fighting HER the other dogs won't have that much to hold on to.[i guess i would have 2 look @ spock so as 2 decide how much should be taken off.] Affect HER ? I know it would affect me if I didn't have my entire ear.BUT who am I - just a long eared human ! THINK U had a bad day.

The only reason I have heard of someone getting there pitbulls ears clipped is so that they can fight them. Why would you want to cut your dogs poor ears they look cuter with them natural Im sure your poor baby wouldnt do that to you

There's no real reason to clip ears (although I have seen a basset hound trip over them). Tails on the otherhand... unfortunately many dogs with clipped tails are that way because their tails are like whips and they will tear them up on walls and other indoor surfaces. After a certain age though it's best to just leave it alone. Consult your vet for details on specific breeds.

If you want a short eared dog, get a different one! Why do people insist on clipping ears and tails? It's so inhumane!!

Why do you want to clip his ears in the first place?
No dog needs its ears (or tail) cropped.
This is about the vanity of the owner wanting their dog to look a certain way.
Ear and tail cropping is painful and unnecessary - don't waste your money.

Ear cropping is usually done the same time you have your dog fixed, between 4 and 6 months... some Vet's won't do it because it is starting to be frowned upon as inhumane. Call around to different vets and ask if they provide the service first...

Listen, unless your dog is absolutely going to be a show dog, don't clip it's ears. It is unnatural, and your dog may have a hard time adjusting to it.
