When my grandmother was alive I used to spend every waking moment I could with her. She taught me so much stuff like how to cook and bake. One day we were making (my favorite) blue berry muffins), anyway we put the berries in the mix and the i turned on the mixer and mixed in the berries. The mix turned green, I thought we had messed them up really bad and started crying. My grandma took my hand and said, "that everything was going to be alright, just like life, everything was going to be alright." We put the muffins into the tins, and tossed them into the oven, a little while later grandma was enjoying the best green muffins ever. Grandma has been gone now 14 years, I miss her to pieces. Every now and then when I miss her, I make my green muffins with my little girl.

My favorite childhood memory would have to be my fifth Birhtday. I got up early and put on my Favorite blue sundress. the ones that tie on the shoulder. Everybody got along that day. there were so few days like that. We all went out for dinner as a family and everything just seemed right.

Happily I've got quite a few, but one of the best is going on holiday with the school when I was 10. The weather was brilliant, and one day we sailed on a small ferry from Guernsey to the small island of Herm. There were about 80-100 people on the boat, the waves were choppy and the boat was rolling but I loved it!

Family holidays in Cornwall, we stayed on a farm and got to feed the baby animals and ride the pony to the stables every night, I was about 4 and can still remember sitting on the beach with my little brother who was just a baby at the time, he was eating ice cream, my mum was sunbathing and my dad and big brother were making sand castles, I remember thinking "I am really happy"

Those days... my dad was teaching me cycling. We would drive to the cycle shop, rent a cycle and dad would take me to a large circular field where he taught me cycling.

He taught me for weeks and weeks, but I somehow never got it! Father used to be really angry that was such a coward and did not follow his instructions properly.

But one fine day, even as dad was talking to the man in the cycle shop, I set out with the bike and got going!!! I did a whole big round on my own, though I fell off twice. I had learnt at last.

Dad was very impressed. That day, on our way back, dad had bought me an ice-cream.

Holidays by the seaside with the whole family, having sandcastle making (and demolishing!) competitions and eating ice cream on the pier.
