It shows that he is insurce about something sexual, it may not be the penis at all. it may be he is uncomfortable with it and thinks that talking about his penis will mask his insucreities.
As for me I never wanted to know how big another guys man meat was, always thought it was kindof homoerotic to want ot know.

In a way he is right I feel .I have a five inch one and am curious as to what others have I have asked some as and when there is an oppurtunity and will definitely see if I get an oppurtunity.

Not really. I was with a guy who had a 9 inch member and he was still insecure about his size.

I say size doesn't matter. If a man is self-concious about the size of his penis, that's his problem.
