A man and his dog were walking down a long road, for a long time, when they came upon a golden gate and a man sitting next to it. The traveler asked where they were. "Heaven" replied the sitting man. As the traveler began to enter he was told the dog could not go in. Knowing his dog would die outside, he chose not to enter with out him. Leaving Heaven, they walked on, coming upon a man leaning against a tree, ten feet from a well. The traveler asked if his dog could have some water. "Of course" said the man against the tree. When they were satisfied and refreshed, the traveler came to the man beside the tree and asked where they were. "Heaven" said the leaning man. "Heaven? No, we just passed Heaven a few hours ago." "No, sir, you did not. That was Hell." said the leaning man... the traveler finally asked, "Does it bother you to have Hell so close, pretending to be Heaven?" "No, it simply weeds out those who would leave their best friends to die.
