Yes it will fit, but i dont recommend it at all, if i were you i would get the tranny from the 5.0 V8 and put it in there as well

im doing a tranny and engine swap now andi was gonna do the same thing u are askin but hten i was like u know what i dont want any problems wit it so ill just get the Stock tranny from the V8 5.0

Yes, it will. If it's a C-3 you can buy a bell housing for a 78 Mustang II and it will fit. Check with a Mustang buff, but I think they used the same Borge/Warner transmissions with both motors...just different bell housings.

No. That tranny bolt pattern is different from a V-8 block. Just buy a Mustang that has a 5.0 in it. It's way cheaper than swapping.

Jeff S. knows what he's talking about. Another option is to check a junkyard for a used T-5 transmission. It is the manual trans. that came in that era 5.0's. You should find a lot of them fairly cheap.

NO! Dont even try it you will mess up so much it is unbelievable, to say the least that it will just absolutley not work
