I've heard Thanksgiving is the best time to find good deals on Plasma TVs. Is there any other big sale besides that?

After working in retail for years I have a good idea about sales. I strongly encourage you to check out the post Christmas sales. Especially for high priced items like a plasma TV because they Will want to be making room for the next years models. The sales are usually the best sales of the year. Watch before Christmas too, Sometimes the early bird sales can be very motivating.
The big retailers like Best Buy are good choices because they buy in such bulk they usually can go lower on sale prices or do price matches.

You cant go wrong with the Vizo 50" plasma at Costco for $1999
Awsome deal, lacks some bell's and whistle's but has the same picture as tv's twice the price.
