He took it to Dent Wizard and they said it would cost over 1000. His car is a 1999 Lexus.

he ha sprobably paid insurance for all these years and never filed a claim, so why not get some of it back? This is a monor accident, as long as your Dad gets a police report stating a hit and run was involved and he was not at fault, then his insurance company should not hold him liable. Save that report just in case his rates increase!

I would at that cost. If it were fairly low, even just $100 or $200 more than his deductible, I would have to think about it. Claims can cause future premiums to increase. Would it be worth it? But at $1000, YES, do call.

He should file a claim. If ther was not any other liability involved, his insurance should not go up if he has not filed any other claims. Hope he has a low ded.

If his ins. deductible is less than 1000.00 he should file a a claim.

It should beclassified as comprehensive nd not collision and won't make his ins. rates go up.

not if its just a small dent that would just be silly. but if its higher to fix it than his deductable is go for it
