I'd be cheerful to them even if they didn't work at a rest area. I remember a story I heard one time (I since forget from where) about a man who was walking down the street and smiled at the first person he passed. That person smiled at the next person, and so on. Pretty soon the whole street was smiling. Why not pass some cheerfulness on? The world needs it nowadays.

Yeah cause there job sucks, they have to clean after thousands of different people that come in there, and also some rest areas are dangerous. You should at least try to be cheerful.
