It really depends on the time of year. Typically pastel colors are used in the spring and the deeper colors are used in the fall/winter. It also depends on what colors you like. If you plan on marrying in April but HATE pastels you would obviously choose a different color scheme, like a brown and blue (non-pastel). One thing you can try is going to a fabric store and compare 2 fabric swatches to see what 2 colors you like look good together. Anymore than 2 can be a little much and its usually best to go with a light and a dark color for contrast.

Any colors that you like...with a few rules. Try to stay with two, no more than three colors. After three colors, it just looks busy and like a rainbow, and no one will be able to discern a particular color scheme. Try monochromatic colors, such as a navy blue with cornflower blue, or deep, rich purple with a lighter purple/fuschia or lavender. But most of all, go with colors that you enjoy; colors that make you feel good. Of course, consider your 'maids and what will look good with their skin tones, but I'm sure you'll work this out. Got a sentimental color, such as your deceased grandmother's favorite hat? Use it, and make the item a central part of the decorations.
Congrats!

There are several good colors to choose from. Mostly what your favorite colors are. Also think abour your bridesmaids and what color they will look best in.
I posted a link below which has a quiz from theknot to help you pick your wedding colors. Best Wishes.

I've always thought it looks classiest to have one main color and an accent color, usually a metallic. Such as navy and silver (my colors for a winter evening wedding) or hunter green and gold.
Just my opinion!

Depends on your bridesmaids coloring, but greens and purples look good on red, blonde, brown and brown haired ladies. Ask them.
