Whoa..... hold on there. How about a house. If you dont have a house, a career, not a burger flipper at Denny's, why you goanna bother getting married. Plus, you're still in school to be an RN. Whats the rush? Wait until you are. Youre education will only strain your marriage.
Be a man, hold off on the wedding until your are an RN. So you can wait a while to get married, whats the big deal, she'll still be there, you'll still be there, right?

Yes its traditional, the gift should be sentimental and special. Usually a piece of jewelry you could even get it inscribed. Ask her mom or close friend to get a good idea of what she likes or maybe a locket with a picture of both of you and your names and wedding date on the back. If your not the creative type then give Diamonds they never fail. Its a timeless gift and girls best friend.
Good luck

Yes, it is tradional to buy your new wife a gift to be opened right before the wedding. It is suppossed to be a gift she can wear, maybe a necklace in her favorite stone, a right hand ring, or a pair of diamond stud earrings. Its always helpful to ask her mother or a close friend what she would like. But she will love any gift from you on such a special day!!!

traditionally the bride and groom are supposed to exchange wedding presents on the day of...however, if you're in a financial constraint, you should both agree that it would be better to spend the money on something else...like the honeymoon...

Do you mean do you buy the bride a gift? I assume you're not purchasing your bride...lol. My husband and I got each other gifts and exchanged them the night of our wedding back at our hotel. He got me a "circle of love" necklace. It's just a circle of diamonds on a chain, but that's what they call it. I LOVE it!

Yes, this is so. It should be something that has meaning for both of you. Traditionally, it was a pearl necklace, but pearls aren't that big in fashion today. A chain with a special pendant that ismeaningful to both of you would be nice, or a tennis bracelet (diamond bracelet). It isn't essential, but it is a nice custom.
Best of luck to both of you!
PS: She's supposed to give you something, too!

Yes, it is common. My husband got me jewelry and I got him a record player. Don't feel obligated to make it too expensive, sentimental is good too.
