Choice hotels are mid priced and are very nice. Most of them have a pool hot tub and fitness room, a lot of them also have free high speed in all of the rooms. The breakfast is great. go find a choice hotel in that area go to

No, Central Park west is a very pricey area. If you can book far enough in advance try the Gershwin hotel. It's about 75 to 95 per day if you can get in though is is downtown. You're not going to find much else that's inexpensive in the part of town you're interested in.

There are also a few bet and breakfasts in the Village which is also way downtown but at least it;s still in Manhattan.

Nope, nothing under $300 a night! Best bet is in Queens for cheap hotels.
