I have quite the potbelly, and need to know two things . . .
First, what is the single best piece of equipment for abs? Something under $150.
Second, what is the best excercise for your abs? Without equipment, I mean.
Thank you so much in advance . . .

the top 3 ab exercises according to men's health magazine are:

1. swiss ball crunch - targets your medial abs and saves your back (you can get one for 10 bucks!)
2. the air bicycle - lie on your back and cup your hands behind your head. bring your right elbow to your left knee, then alternate like a bicycle
3. hanging leg raises - this targets the lower abs

sorry, only the air bicycle can be done without equipment... but i also recommend the video called '8 minute abs'.... it's a crazy 8 minute ab workout which done daily will give you rock hard abs in a month.... you can find it on the net actually and doesn't require any equipment.

mind you all these exercises are meant for toning your ab muscles 'under' your potbelly. to actually 'see' your six packed, you'll need to do some serious cardio conditioning meaning doing aerobic exercise 3 times a week and eating a healthy diet. supplementing this with pills is your perogative too.

you dont need equipment
all you need is a good diet and a good exercise plan
low on fat, high in fiber, vitamins, fruits/veggies, lean meats like fish and chicken
cardio--like running, biking 4-5 times a week (30-60 min each session on moderate speed), and basic crunches/leg lifts

once you lose all the fat you'll see the muscle start to show thru--then you can purchase a swiss ball (10-20 dollars) and do many ab work on that--that'll give you the best results...

getting toned abs--takes long period of time, not a 2 week "magic" ab-appearing potion or weight loss pill/crash diet

good luck

an nice pastime, you'll do it in entrance of your TV: sit down on a stool, and positioned your feet underneath some thing (piece of heavy furnishings, for instance). In your palms preserve slightly dumbbell. Please, make certain that it isn't very heavy, begin with one kilo, for instance, or you're going to harm your again and backbone! Slowly transfer the higher facet of your frame again, till it is parallel with the bottom. Stop for a moment and transfer it again to the sitting role. Repeat ten occasions. Every week upload to the quantity of repetitions. You will see the outcome in every week, assured! You will see or suppose underneath the fats - in case you have any - six % and muscle tissues. Dumbbells do wonders. Much bigger than those crunches - I got here as much as 3 1000s and there used to be no outcome AT ALL. With the dumbbells you're going to see it in every week.

no equipment really helps. here's a routine, guaranteed to help, if you push yourself hard enough. EVERYDAY, do 2 sets each of these exercises: crunches, leg raises, and oblique crunches (2 sets per side). do these everyday, they'll only take fifteen minutes. twice or thrice a week, run or jog at an easy pace for half an hour. walk, and you're not burning enough calories. run, and you're into cardio, not fat-burning, territory.
