I'm pretty sure the only difference is the breed of hen. I've heard some people say that brown eggs taste better (usually because they get them fresh from a neighbor) but I'm not fond of the sulfur, so I don't eat many eggs myself.

White eggs come from white chickens and brown eggs come from brown-ish chickens. This a true fact and neither one is healthier than the other. They also taste about the same.

the chicken determines the color of the egg. I believe Rhode Island Red have the brown eggs.

The only difference is in the shell. The insides are exactly the same. Different mineral make-up causes the coloring in the shell.
