Get the worst picture of you that you can find.
Take it to a photoshop - have it blown up to A4 size and copied 4 times.
Put one copy on the fridge.
Put copy two on your mirror.
Put copy three near the snack cupboard
Put copy four where you can see it first thing in the morning.
That will help you remember WHY you are dieting.

What I've found that helps me is:
1) Everytime I get a craving for something I know I shouldn't be eating, I think about the body I want and how if I lose control and eat what I shouldn't be eating, I will NEVER get that body.
2) I have to eat out everyday because of my work schedule, I DO NOT go to lunch with co-workers. The majority of people eat fast food for lunch; if you eat alone, you won't feel left out for eating healthy.
3) Keep a running log of your progress (weight you've lost, muscle you've built) since the day you started your diet. Seeing the progress on paper helps you STAY motivated by reminding you that eating healthy IS worth it.

if you can keep your will power in check during the week, try this. i lost 15 pounds in 2 or 3 months (probably closer to 3). basically youre going to follow your diet all week but you can 'cheat' on friday and saturday nights and all day sunday. i lifted weights 5 days a week and worked up to running 3 miles a day 3 times a week during this time. my workouts were about an hour, hour and 15 min. its not as hard as it sounds, but it will take a little bit of work, especially if you dont have easy/any access to weights. hope this helps.

If you can foget you are on a diet, you are doing great. The rest of us can't think about anything but not eating when we are cutting back..
Dieting usually means thinking about food every minute of the day.
I suspect you are not forgetting - you are giving in to temptation. I find the only thing to do is to distract myself, shopping is good

Think about the sexiest person you know. Imagine how many gorgeous people will want you when you feel good about yourslef.
If you really need to diet - just think about how great you will feel!!!! Positive thinking.
Give yourself a pat on the back and tell yourself how well you are doing every time you remember.
This will really work!! Trust me - i am a psychologist.

Take a picture of yourself in the buff and put one on your fridge/cupboard and one in your wallet/purse for when you are eating out(make sure it is in front of you notes, so you can see it clearly) Make a bet with all of your mates that you can do it-when you have a dare yoyu can't possibly fail. Don't take them home to you house though, else they may get a shock.

will power is an emotional thing and so it isn't enough to keep you on a diet. you need more incentives. get photos of pigs and put them on your fridge or anything that will boost your determination. get out of the chair and out of the house. join a gym. keep busy.

If you are on a diet or starting to get on a diet it is alright to eat what you see or want to eat as long as it is a small portion of what you are eating don't try to stuff your self slowly stop eating junk food or reg food

Carry around a picture of a slim celeb as an incentive.
Stick photo's of yourself when you were at your ideal weight on your fridge & cupboards at home.
Drink LOTS of mineral water, 3 litres a day, to make you feel more full.
