ok, im writng an essay about west side story, and romeo and juliet. but i have to change the setting, and characters names, but i need help on an introduction! i dont noe how i should start it, any ideas??? just a few sentences, i dont want u to do the whole thing, i dont want any trouble 4 ya! thankxxx!!

start out with an interesting fact or commonly held idea or notion. expand on that idea and how it effects the world (currently or in the time periods of your stories, whichever is appropriate for this essay) then tie that into your thesis, or main idea. this will get the reader thinking about your topic and make them want to continue reading

my english teacher taught me the best way to do any essay, even those tricky beginings. first you draw a square and then you divide it into four squares. you know, just divide it into fourths. then in the middle draw a rectangle that takes up about half the middle line. i know that sounds confusing but just draw it. alright, now put the firrst sentence in the rectangle box and then in each of the divided parts, you put the main topic and supporting details. this way everything is planned out and you just have to transform it to paper. i just read over this and relized that it was very confuzing. so here is what you do.
make it addicting and catchy and make sure you include the main topics of all the paragraphs.
