It's not actually whole. What you're seeing is the shell of the corn kernal. Don't ask what's inside it...uck.
Humans need Lycene in order to digest corn. The main reason you cannot digest corn is because humans lack the amino acid "lycene". Lycene helps break down the "undigestable corn". Luckily "BEANS" contain the amino acid "LYCENE" which will allow you to digest corn fully.
Whenever you eat corn you need to include beans (Pinto, lima, soy, etc.) in order to digest the corn. Otherewise it will come out looking the same way it went in.

The shell of the corn kernel is not digestible and therefore passes directly through your digestive track. Now, if you would have chewed your corn up properly first, you might not have noticed all that yellow!!!

Well... Unless you chew corn well, the outer skin is very tough and very hard for your body to digest. Also, corn doesn't really have much nutritional value when compared to nutrient rich vegetables like spinach and turnips...

your system does not digest it well -- this is a clue to you that corn is not the best nutrient for your body, it goes largely unabsorbed.
Nutritionally, some have even suggested that corn chould not be classified as a vegetable - but as a starch.

Because it is basically indigestible for our system. The body only sees it as foriegn matter and pushes it out of the system.

Anthony, are you playing with your food, again?
I told you at the table to stop that! Now look at what you are doing!
Is this called "second guessing your food"?
