I think it will go away with time...my cat had it and she was ok in a few weeks...it's hard to watch something you love be sad but the best thing you can do is to make sure she takes all her medicine and take her to the vet if you have questions or it gets worse.

I actually have 2 cats, one with a persistent top respiration an infection. His virus is managed by ability of giving him l-lysine, a supplement any drugstore or food market incorporates. Your vet can grant you with the right dosage. He would not coach any indications of the virus except he misses 3 or 4 days worth of meds, which has in reality got here about once. that's straight forward to administration, besides. The pill will be beaten up in nutrition, you do not could manually pill the cat. i replaced into demanding about a scourge transmission when we followed a wholesome kitten. We gave her an immunization shot, yet my vet stated the shot isn't effective. She's never shown indications, and it really is been 4 years. i imagine her immunization plus holding ill kitty from having outbreaks both help the project. finally, both kitties are the finest of friends, and percentage nutrition and cuddle with one yet another. no matter if wholesome kitty receives the virus some day, that's really straight forward to administration. No complications in any respect, and that i'm so satisfied i did not let the virus end me from bringing in the wholesome kitten!

It will go away just make sure she gets her medication, the way the vet told you to do it. It wouldn't hurt to give her some extra love and attention, maybe buy her something special to eat for a treat like a better brand of kitty food or maybe a little tuna juice on her food. Just something that lets her know she is special and you love her even if she does sneeze and blows snot on you.

My cats have it too, but they've only gotten sick once, and that was right after i got them. I've moved since then, went on vacation, etc. Nothing. The symptoms go away pretty quickly after they start meds. Until then just make sure your cat is as comfortable as possible, with plenty of food and fresh water, and give her lots of attention. It sounds gross, but keep a watch on her eyes, nose, and ears, as they are likely to build up fluids and such and need cleaned often.

I have a Homeopathic treatment that should help: Phosphate of iron will relieve the symptoms of sinusitis ( the inflammation of the mucous membranes in the nasal cavity). Peruvian bark will help fight the effects of dehydration. Ask your vet for advice on these treatments.

If it is a URI, I goes away with medication. She needs a day or two on the meds to start feeling better. It goes away, but they can get it again like we can get a cold again. If they are under stress, they are more likely to get symptoms, just like us. But with antibiotics, she will be just fine......unless she has an underlying condition like FeLV or FIV.

sounds like feline herpes. go to walmart and get some l-lysine and give your cat 500mg a day and that should help. you can also give your cat 12.5mg of benadryl twice a day.

hope this helps!
